The Shelby White and Leon Levy Archives Center

The Shelby White and Leon Levy Archives Center serves as the Institute for Advanced Study's Archives and documents the Institute's history and the many significant people that have shaped it. We welcome inquiries from both within and outside the Institute community.

Our reading room is in the Annex of the Historical Studies-Social Science Library (see the Institute campus map). This space features a display case and exhibits rotate regularly. We are currently featuring a selection of photographs and documents related to the development of the Institute campus over time.
